25 things about me 1. About 2 years ago I started putting together my family tree. Now I have information about 262 people and it’s not even close to the completing stage! 2. I have a dream to have a place of my own – it’s not easy to move in with the parents after so many years of living apart… 3. I like cemeteries. Strange, right? It’s exiting to read people’s names and guessing what they have managed to accomplish during their lives. 4. After almost 2 years at home with the kid I’ve realized how much I miss fast food. Now I would kill for a hamburger! 5. I used to smoke 3-5 cigarettes a day before I got pregnant. When I’m done with breastfeeding I’m going to start again. Just because I like it. 6. I’ve always wanted to jump with the parachute but did only paragliding jump with the instructor in Montenegro. I can’t say that that impressed me that much, actually. 7. I’m a happy single mother. This fact helped me to discover some huge hidden talents! Although I would never reject a little help when offered. 8. I adore silver jewelry! Not at all exited about gold. 9. I don’t have a driver’s license. You really don’t need one in Moscow where the average metro travel time is about an hour and by car it’s always unpredictable. Terrible traffic. 10. I feel like a treasure-hunter in second-hand stores! I’ve got some unique outfits there, but I’m not telling you which ones. 11. My parents wanted me to grow up as an all-rounder so they signed me up for every study group available. I took piano lessons, went on ballroom dances, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics and volleyball. None of that lasted for long, but I don’t regret the time I spent there. 12. Traveling is really my thing! Nothing is more exiting than visiting new places. I usually do it without a travel book or any guided tours to get my own impression. I’ve been taken aback by Rome, Montenegro and Washington DC. 13. I would use every possibility to go dancing! 14. One of my recent hobbies is getting rid of stuff. I like order and hate unneeded things just lying around. I’ve found a great web-site where people give away or exchange useless things! 15. The other side of motherhood is that you start to appreciate all the things you did not care much when you did not have a baby – a movie with a glass of wine, going out with friends, cooking your favorite dish… Now I can’t stop rushing. Even if I don’t really have to. 16. I’d play badminton for hours till my right hand goes numb. 17. We have a wonderful tradition with two of my girlfriends to go to the Moscow well-known Sanduny bath-house once a month on Thursday. This is so relaxing and splendid! 18. My mother was born in China when her parents went there as soviet specialists to help raising the economy in 1950s. That’s why we have many unique Chinese vases, jewelry boxes, plates and dishes that I’m planning to sell on e-bay when I go completely broke. 19. I collect pictures of cool door-handles. 20. I like welcoming guests in my house. It’s such a pleasure to cook, entertain and talk to nice people. 21. I don’t feel myself if I don’t go to the seaside at least once a year. Usually it’s Black Sea, Crimea. The season, actually, doesn’t matter. 22. Every plant that I have ever had in my apartment died very quickly. 23. I like to give and receive smart gifts. Something that you would really use and then think how you could ever have lived without it. It takes time and efforts, but is worthwhile by all means! 24. I’m indifferent to my job as a personal assistant. I’d rather do something creative. I always wanted to get a degree in history of cinema, may be I’ll get my chance someday. 25. The time of linden blooming is my favorite time of the year.
